One of my friends told me all about it recently, and she said it was something she was really excited about. To be honest, I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Is it weird to have a robot for something we were meant to do with another person?
Anyways, apparently they are really advanced. The robotic technology used is the closest to real human beings that it can get. It starts off with eye contact, then it moves onto body language, facial expressions, all the way down to their touches. It’s pretty realistic, I must admit.
I also heard that they are more lifelike than real humans. They use fine motors to move, dildos completely hands-free, vibrators and it apparently can resemble our own bodily movements. Plus, they have thermal heating in their core, so that’s pretty cool.
It’s also supposed to be really easy to use for basically anyone. With one push of a button, you can control it and the body responds accordingly. I guess that kind of control is kind of weird now that I think about it.
The 173 sex doll is a pretty interesting concept. I’ve gone back and forth about it for a while now, because there are pros and cons in equal measure. It may not feel “real” to some people, but on the plus side, it does come with its own level of safety and security.
On the other hand, it could be argued that it takes away from the intimacy of an actual human connection. And of course, there’s the worry of it being weaponized in the future, which is pretty scary.
Plus, there’s always the ethical dilemma of whether a robot, even a technologically advanced one, can be given the same human rights as any other being.
At the end of the day, I think it’s really a personal choice. For some people, it may offer a safe, low-risk alternative to traditional relationships. But for others, it may just seem cold and robotic.
